Installation requirements — separate from fitment
  • Follow Competition Clutch's fitting instructions: replace the pilot bearing or bushing, clean friction surfaces, inspect the release system, verify disc alignment, and tighten flywheel and cover bolts in a diagonal pattern without air tools.
  • For an accompanying new clutch, the generic fitting sheet specifies a 500–700 mile break-in and factory-specification clutch adjustment; the product-page tip describes shifting frequently during the first 500 miles.
  • Competition Clutch describes STU as intended for forced-induction or track/rally applications and well suited to Stage 3 and higher clutches; this recommendation is not treated as proof of an arbitrary clutch combination.
